Hey guys,

I have a 1990 Ford Falcon EA 1st series and someone has damaged my boot lock and i need to replace it. I have a new lock and key but no idea on how to replace it.

Can anyone tell me or give me some instructions on how to do it ?

1st step is to open boot. either by pushing button or climbing thru back seat. with boot lid open it will be easier to see whats needed. you will prob need to remove the boot garnish [plastic piece between the tail lights]. you should be able to see what you need to do to replace the damaged lock

There is a U shaped flat bit of spring metal that slides along the base of the lock that holds it in place.

That and the plastic clip holding the linkage on. Both are easy enough to get off with your fingers.

take a look and you will see.. dead easy.
