I have purchased a centre air vent for my '98 EL Fairmont Ghia to replace the existing one (damaged fins). Does anyone know if it is possible to remove the centre vent without removing the entire dashboard? The centre vent looks as though it is secured with one screw on the bottom left and one screw on the top right.

You just have to remove the stereo surround and the piece of plastic that runs around those vents, down to the shifter and up to the instrument cluster
It's only a few screws and clips |
