i sat in my EF the other day and suddenly found myself having my head resting on my back seat,

the top part of my seat broke,

so now i have picked up one of those replacement / racing stylish seats to put in but comes with no seat rails.

now, my question is, are all the seat rails the falcons the same, or what,
cuz either way, im going to have to buy another seat to put in my car, but if it comes with a not so complcated design to it, i might be able to modify it easier when i get a chance

and also, will older (ea - eb) seats fit in / and are they much different to the ef's

From what I've read you can fit EA-ED seats into EF-EL. There's a different rail and mount on the center console side or something, the floors shapped different there to or something like tha.

Yeah, pretty much anything froman EA-EL will bolt straight up.
The only exception I can think of are the Front Bench Seats on the Column Shift models.
Dont ask me how or why (Doesnt make sense to me) bu the floor pan (???? apears ????) to be slightly different.

Have a look around for seats. I saw some EF Fairymont Mocha ones (front and back) going for $50 the other day. Very nice velour and in good nick too.

EA-ED seats won't bold straight in.
there is an extra leg on the Ea-ED rails that it not needed on the EF/EL, don't know if this could simply be cut and drilled or if you would need to extend it to do it.

AU seats can be bolted to EF rails though.

They are completely different regards design, dimensions and fabrication technique. I'm currently grafting the legs of a EF onto the assembly of the BA floor rails (the BA legs are welded and must be ground off first, EF's are rivetted of course).
