Please help if you can.....
I have bought a 99 AU falcon futura. It already has a clarion cd player installed. I want to replace it with another head unit that plays MP3's
i have pulled out a pocket which was installed under the head unit and tried to see if the h/u will side out with a gentle pull from behind it but seems to be screwed in from the sides.
looking at the console there is a circular shaped piece that houses the clock, air vents, air con and temp. Do i need to pull this off to get to the h/u mounting.
I have pulled the ash tray out and removed the 2 screws behind it to see if it releases it, but it still seems to be held on some where.
i don't want to start pulling or levering just anywhere. so if you have done this before, your help would be great.

once you have removed the screws, it is held on by clips.
i just used a flat head screw driver and careful went around the face
until i found the clips, then lever it off the clips.
be careful the paint chips easy.
