Im going to retrim the fabric part of my doortrims(gli) and wanted to know how i should go about it?
Im not sure if i should stick the new material over the old stuff or remove the old stuff fully and put new foam down and then stick new material on.
I also wanted know how to stick the material down on the back side?
Any help would be appreciated, im not real flash with the motor trimming side of things :?

i would remove the old fabric, as if you put the new one over the top, it wont stick as well, and may make the trim look bloated, as for sticking the new fabric on, get a good quality contact adhesive ( available from any good upholstery shop or hardware) just take your time with it, and if you can, practice on a old door trim first !!

good luck

I done this mod on the xg with BA XR material.I found the best way was to carefully peel off old material and use it as a rough template to cut new fabric (being sure to cut the new material so the pattern is facing out).I fixed it using spray roof lining adhesive i got from autobarn, seemed to work quite well.
