Thats the way it should be, you dont want to be trying to change gears against the G-force of the vehicle.
Changing it is possible, but it would mean removing the complete shifter and modifying the circuitry within.

It is the correct way (see any real sequential manual).

Holden have it wrong. But I guess a SV6 ain't going to have any problems with G forces.

i think the focuses are the other way i.e. click up for up gear.
pulling back to go up a gear is better though

seems like a good setup really..youre leaning in a forward possy when breaking so seems natural to be shifting forwards to come down thru the box.

I drove one of the sports magnas when they first brought our sequential shifting, and it was the other way. Was a pig of a thing, particularly when being pushed on the road between Cairns and Port Douglas (and the shift lag was *very* ordinary).

Ive always thought that the BA was right. To change down, you are pushing against the lever when G's are also pushing you that way ;)

The road between cairns and portdouglas is not the best place to be flying along but yeah the early magnas were a bit of a pig. By the way nice number of posts!

i disagree, thats a beautiful road to go for a bit of a strap on!! just gotta keep an eye out for touries.

but yeah, the old mans pajero has it the other way round, and it laggy as hell too. but whenever i jump into a falcon or something with the sequential shift the other way around i go the wrong way.

my mate doesnt like it when im giving his BA a strap and instead of pulling 3rd i jam it into first!!
