G'day.
The roof lining in my EF Wagon is looking like a pregnant lady's dress so Ive been ringing around for quotes to re-line it. So far $260 is the cheapest and $420 the most expensive. Is this right? Sounds a bit exxy to me. Any ideas on how much and who would be appreciated. I thought I could get it done cheaper than $260. I bloody hope so. Thanks |

Not sure, just saw it written in a thread in the Fordmods archive. |

As said in previous posts.
Go to a wreaker & buy a EF-EL roof lining they go for $40 upwards & takes 1/2 hour -45mins to change the lining

I have read somewhere of a guy who did his roof (sedan) for $160 all up.

Thanks guys.
I'm really looking for a 'new' refit so I'll check the tradingpost. I did see the 'how to' doc on this subject and it may well come to that but I'm still going to try for the new option for a bit longer. Any recommendations for a good upholsterer in Sydney would still be appreciated. Thanks again. |

Could you glue it back up yourself?
or is that a bad idea?

there not real hard to remove yourself I get them done for around 100-150 but im in the motor trade I did my own but a mate of mine is a trimmer he bought the material home.If you can get the material from a trimmer you just need to wire brush all the old foam off the cardboard then coat the board and the fabric with spray glue and stick it on.The reason they fall is the foam is pre stuck to the velour then to the cardboard and the foam seperates from the velour

Surely there is an upholsterer in Sydney who can
offer a decent price on a new lining fitted.....????? I went for the new fabric because I wanted "brand new" and didnt want to botch the glue myself. Got new fabric on existing base (sedan) for $132 inc. out-with-old and in-with-new. This was done in Tweed Heads. |
