hey have gotten bored and removed my roof linning

only did it because it was sagging like no tommorow so im thinking of removing the lose foam pieces and re gluing it back together im guessing 1/8th at a time

i managed to remove the linning with out damaging it to much so its all re useable i believe

so i was curious what glue to use id really like to use silcone but its such a thin "carpet" that it would seep through

thank you in advance everyone i should have really made a how to tutortial but being in a wheel chair n crutches was a real pain in the a$$ to :(

You really need new material. as it is backed by foam aswell.
Use spray on contact adhesive. You need to spray it on and allow it to dry a tad to get tacky.
Then roll on.

Is alot harder than it seems. Takes some skill to do it well.

It will be a vast improvement regardless.
I would def look at getting some new material though.
Most trimmers have it.

backing foam breaks down after 11-12 years, clean all the dead foam off the card board and buy a new bit from the trimmers,2 cans of spray contact from super cheap.i had to do mine in the ltd, cappa cloth-so i used any colour first and then glued the cappa to it,twice the work and a pita,as it has to line up every where,no streching or shrinking,in 1 go.

super cheap spray contact glue for upholstry, trick is to spray both and wait till its tacky, then press together.run your hand over it with firm pressure to flatten it and remove air pockets and wrinkles, ive lost count, done 6-9 of them so far, ford, holden, jap cars.work from one end and 2ft-60cm at a time the glue dries quick
