Well, its all done...no huge mods or anything, just some painting and a GOOD WASH!
I decided to remove the covers from the seats, it was easier than I thought. The covers are just held on with these metal clips: I used Gumption to clean all the material, just scrubbing it in with a handbrush...then washed it off with the high pressure washer. Did a fantastic job, look like new inside! I also used Gumption to clean all the interior door panels and other trim...i pulled out the center console and al little bits...you can see how clean it made the trim, the point indicated in the following photo wasnt cleaned...amazing how much brighter the clean stuff looks compared to it! I painted some interior bits too...noting much just subtle changes that I am VERY happy with! AND....the Climate Control is in, gassed and 100% working!!! Im going to change the filter colour of it next week where I can desolder the screen... |

Well done Dave - nice balance.
Nice masking around the central locking surround - the hardest part to paint IMO. Have to get a look of it tomorrow (with EL BEM in hand).

Thanks!
Yea, it was a bit of a s**t when I realised the central locking surround is part of the main dash! I used s**t loads of little pieces of masking tape all going round in a "spiral" each peice overlapping the next, each covering one tiny part of it, if you get what I mean! Yea can't wait to try that BEM hopefully it is the problem! I just found I have a SMALL coolant leak in the CC I think its where the hoses join onto the airbox...water is dripping down the firewall engine side, but no water is evident at the hoses, so it must be a tiny leak that is soaking down the firewall in that black stuff. Im not going to worry about it just now as its not serious...and I'm NOT pulling that dash out again any time soon! |

Yea it is a bit...took me about 5 minutes per seat to undo them and about 10 per seat to redo them all up...

Just added Ford electric aerial!
Was piss easy since the loom was already there, just a straight swap with the aerial itself really...$38 all up including delivery, off eBay! And I've added the half height button too, thanks to Snap0964 for supplying the button and surround! |
