I took the drivers side seatbelt out of my 97 gli and it snapped short, now i only have a tiny bit of length to work with and i can't for the life of me get it to extend, no matter how slow i go.

are you trying to extend it while its removed from the car??
Because if you are, good luck in getting it extended at all. Seatbelts are angle sensitive and they will only extend if they are held in the correct postion. Thats also how they save you in rollovers and s**t

You have to mount the seatbelt retractor in the "B pillar" first before you can pull the seat belt outward and mount it on top of the "B pillar" and in the lower edge.

yeah i found that out the hard way too...had to hold the seat belt in the correct position by hand and pulled on it with the other...I didn't mount it on the B-Pillar to extend it...but yeah they are angle sensitive...so long as they are upright.
phong =P~
