I just got some chrome door handles for my EF Fairmont but the holder bit is in cappiciono, and mine being grey I want to put the chrome handle into the grey holder but can't work out how to seperate them.

Any ideas?

You need to push the roll pin out. Be carefull to replace the spring the correct way afterwards.

Yes they are looking very nice, especially with the Fairlane woodgrain/chrome shifter surround :P

Yeh I wanted just chrome too, no woodgrain, but when I put this one in it looked quite good so I'll keep it.

What I was gonna do before was just take out the shifter surround, tape off the gear selection section, and spray it with VHT chrome paint (made for plastic). Give it a try I rekon it'd look awesome.

VHT comes in at Autobarn.

THere is a metal in and once that is pushed out everything else falls out.

If you have the Cappa shells still, I'd be interested in taking them off your hands.
Already have the chrome, but the Plastic's broken on mine (Both sides front)
