G'day guys.


I am picking up a woodgrain surround for my EF, just wondering how to firstly remove the selector, then remove the surround.

Havent done one before, just before I pry it out with a screwdriver.

i think the selector just unscrews, and the surround is held in with 4 clips that just pop out.

not sure how accurate that is, its based on my knowledge of EA/D lol

In park grab a hold of the shifter and unscrew can be a little tight sometimes, then spin off the locknut, wedge a flathead in the back and start to pry the back up the push dow the rod thats still in there and slide the the shifter getting the tongue the thing to slip out the back the pop up the front and slide off.

Ok, so i just grab hold of the shifter (gear selector) and unscrew anticlockwise and remove the shifter. then the locknut on the gear stick, then remove the lower section from the fron to the back with a small flathead screwdriver?

I'll be removing it tomorrow so It should be good fun.
