it's definately different and looks like you've done a neat job if your happy with it then that's what counts. if your gunna keep those gauges then get matching white facias for your original dash gauges to match!

LOL!

i like it, maybe a lil too much red, but on the whole i like :) its definatly different!

tho, once a trip computer makes it ways into the dash, it will help to break up the red a lil and make it look better - put red LEDs in the trip comp! (or do they come with red LEDs?)

*gets back in box*

When I see a picture like that shoey, I cringe because my initial reaction is, I'm not fond of this, but I cringe because I know it's your sweetheart man, your pride and joy and a lot of blood sweat and tears have gone into making the dash look like it does now. The glossy aspect of the red is quite impressive, almost looks like the dash was vacuum formed from that color.
But dare I say, it's too bright. Too many guys are falling into that trap of painting that part of the dash a different color. I think that part of the dash is simply too big, to be painting a bold color. The old adage is apt in this case man, less is more. You need softer muted colors for an interior. you have to apply it using restraint, and know when to stop. And that big parts of the dash such as in your case are just too big, too big to be painting with the sorts of colors you've gone for. Possibly black is the only color that should be used for this area of the dash.
But remember, nothings permanent, it can be undone. It's just the time and effort thats gone into it. Your craftsmanship can't be faulted, the work is great. It's the color choice in question here.

Well done though. Good work. 8-)

you might as well put in red LEDs, as trip comps come Orange from the factory

IMO you should strip the stereo fascia back to gray, add a gray clock/trip comp and also white guages with red markings to create a more subtle impact.
