It is an EL custer Im guessing he painted the needles.
MRE how hard was the odo to do and is that just filter paper as well? If so waht did you use? |

The odo takes a bit longer to do than the Trip Computer / Clock as you really have to take the cluster totally apart, probably about 10-15 mins the first time you do it.
I would have gone with blue myself but I was thinking maybe too much blue could be a bad thing so bit of red to spice things up hehe Looks great dude ! Nice blur effect too

in case noone wants to go the site and look they are 15mcd and also has a life of 80,000-100,000 hours which to my calcs are roughly 9.9 years BUT the only thing i am not too sure about is, will these be too bright? ( i am thinking of getting these to use in a torch )

If it's for a torch, brighter the better.

http://cgi.ebay.com.au/ws/eBayISAPI.dll ... RK:MEWA:IT yes i know that is a white one BUT he said he can do in ANY colour i want we used 4500mcd ones for our dash... and the distance of them was a prolly 10-15m's? Led's are really made for short hand distance. so if ur torch is for things arms distance away it'll be perfect. if its for distance.. a halogen globe is best used. i have a headlamp i bought from work which has 4 LED's in it. extremely good for fishing as its almost like day light where im looking.. as soon as im looking into the distance.. its useless.

hey all i have just done my dash and clock buy just putting thoes caps on them now it all lites up green and looks good i think but best thing is it cost me like $10 and about an hour of time so when i get sick of it i can change it no worries the led's may be a little brighter but for the bucks and the effort i put in i carnt complain. well have fun and keep up the good work always looking for other little things to do. cheers

the other reason why people are using the LED's is that they last a long time, much longer than an ordinary globe. I mean i can get LED's that last for 80000-100000 hours of use. Now show me a globe that can last that long

Yes LEDs are better. If I could be bothered and was confident enough I would use LEDs. But I like the way my dash has turned out with LED globes, so they can say in.
