OR you could use Mothers Interior protectant for the interior buttons (works a charm, worked awesome on my door handles etc) smells good to.
And outside stuff use Mothers Back-to-Black, works awesome on any exterior pastics including bumpers etc. Thats what i use and the plastics look pretty much brand new. Though i havent done them for about a year.

back to black is around 15 bucks or so, available at all auto shops. the baby oil thing is a good cheap trick but youl need to reapply it every few months or so

Vaseline works best, changed a 90% badly white chalked demist button to a one that looks nearly new.
Did it over a month ago and it still looks great. Unlike when you use armorall.....

I used the meguiars interior cleaner for the buttons, and they came up great. Did that a couple of years ago, and they havent gone white since.
Dont use mothers - it may smell like lollies, but its silicone based, so it attracts dust. But - if you never open the window, that shouldnt be an issue.

Try rubbing in some clear silicone, as it dries it wont be slipery seeing its on the steering wheel.

I did use vazo, but you shouldn't because the petroleum in it dries the plastic out and causes it to crack.
The mothers range of protectants is very good and reasonably priced, between armour all (not so good) and meguairs (just as good) |
