hey,
my electric windows are able to slide back and forth slightly in the window frame. when they move, they often jam in the sides. is there an way to stop this if anyone understands what i mean? |

That's the type of window that you help to go all the way up and get your fingers jammed, right? Usually means having to take off inside door panel and adjusting front slide.

yeh have a search around the forum under this topic (interior mods) theres various silicon sprays u can try, or look at replacing the window regs...also a tech doco on this

That Job Requires a new power window reg i've had the exsact problem
where the window jams up and you push it back with you hand and it works again lemme know how it goes cheers Danny

The slider and mast do have a fair amount of slop, so replacing them probably won't do much. The replacement will probably have just as much.
You could unbolt the window glass, support it with a wedged screwdriver, lower the slider and elongate the two mounting holes, so it gives you an amount of adjustment for the window glass.

wow, alright, im confused.
i dont think just a spray will fix it, because the driver window often slide out the rubber guides at the end, that how much slack there is. is there anything i can tighten to stop the window moving back and forth? and, yes, if i wiggle the window it comes up, its just a pain thats all.... |
