Have a mate who's EL continues to open and close the door locks when the Fob is pushed, sometimes 5-10 times. Any suggestions on a fix?

Yep.

Replace the door actuator that is failing : Its one of the two front doors.

Is there any way to tell which door?

I suppose if you can get to them, you can disconnect the electrical harness plug for each door in turn, test the locking and see which door when disconnected makes the fault disappear. If your mates car is a wagon, don't forget the tailgate - you'll need to take off the number plate surround assy.

While it is doing it use the key to lock the front doors and whichever one stops it is the busted one.

If its an EL would the passenger door still do it? If ELs only have the one door lock button on te driver door, can te passenger one still do it.

Yes, because the door lock button may not be there in the passenger doors, all the lock mechanism is still there, including the actuator which is usually the source of the problem.
