Hi all. I have a small drama that im sure most people have encounted at some stage. I removed the door trims on my XH and when I put them back on the lock knobs stick up too high. How do I lower them back to how they were?????

I'm having the same issue. Sorry I can't help, but I'd like to know as well.

the inside part of the button pulls down. then sit that on the plastic rod, and push on.

yea, thats it...pull the white part down from inside the grey part. Then place it over the rod and give it a sharp knock down. It will lock on itself.

Dont I feel like an idiot. That was too easy. I hope im not the only one that could not figure that out. Thanks alot guys for your help.

its best to have the car locked while you push it down. that always works for me.

That doesn't always work. You can definietly fix the issue by removing the door trim, hold it next to the door (with the power mirrors plugged in) and lower the trim over the red spike for the button, but lower the trim below the correct level so you get more spike, then screw the sniper button on, raise the trim and place on the door. Test the button height with a few door lock/unlocks before you screw on the trim, may take some trial and error!

pull the insert out then wind down your window and lock your car then put the button over the rod and slap it with your hand hard and fast and that will do it.
