I tapped the air bag screws in my AU loose with a woodworking chisel.
I tapped around the edges until they were loose enough to undo by hand.

Before I put them back I cut a slot in the top with a Hacksaw and screwed them in with a Screwdriver.

Dodgy but it worked.

Its not a Torx bit so you wont find it there. FTG have them thats where I bought mine from.

If you read my first post i said the torx bit has 6 points on it where as the Au airbag bolt has 5, so a torx bit wont fit.

Here the thread I did a while ago on the bolt for AU airbags.

http://www.fordmods.com/forums/viewtopi ... light=torx

Try the search function next time. I found that thread easy with search.

They are still a torx bit just not a 6 lobe one, see my post. People need to ask for the correct thing and its not going to be easy as they are not readily available.

I got the little ones out behind the steering wheel with an Allen key ... was fiddly ... but i got it ... the looked like the TORX bit screws to.

Used a T50 for the centre nut on the steering wheel ... but seeing as you are changing the burrons only ... you won't need it.

Just replaced my steering wheel in the AU. A bit fiddly but if you have an old flat screwdriver that fits into the security bolt, cut a slot in the middle of it so that it fits over the pin in the middle ( the screwdriver blade sort of looks like a snakes tongue). It comes out quite easy, at least mine did.

Cheers
