Hey, I had a steering wheel that was solidly jammed on an old steering column out of an EF, I NEEDED to get the steering wheel off, so I screwed the bolt in about 1-2 turns and belted it with a hammer to get the wheel off. Not ideal, but it did the job. Question is, can I still reuse the steering column itself? if I do, I'll be swapping over the clock spring and all the electronics (apart from the ignition barrel) from my other column. Column still seems to turn smoothly and appears fine, just had the bolt hit with a hammer to get the wheel off. Is it likely damaged?
