From What i have read in previous posts

I Know the EA - ED Series is a splined shaft

But is the EF - El Shaft the same or not, just found coflicting information from various sources.

Wanting an EL GT Wheel (woodgrain with the black leather) and was wondering if this fits or not.

correct - EL GT wheel won't be a straight bolt-on for an EA-ED!

Ok Then, What are the Legalities of Cutting the Shaft mounting point out of the EL Wheel and welding in the Shaft Mounting for an EA.

I have the Availability of a machine shop, just want to know if it is an illegal modification or not.

the inner of the wheels are different shapes though yeah? :? the EF/EL/AU's are designed for the airbag, whilst the EA/EB/ED's only have the horn-pad - from memory, the airbag/hornpads are different shapes, so they wouldn't sit flush anyways!

mmm... That is a sound idea...

There is one up on ebay at the moment, and its still at a reasonable price.

Have a look: http://cgi.ebay.com.au/ws/eBayISAPI.dll?ViewItem&item=4574867692&rd=1&sspagename=STRK%3AMESE%3AIT&rd=1
