Im thinking of wrapping the stock wheelin leather.Ill get a strip of leather about 50-60cm long and 10-15cm wide.
I will the go all the way around the steering wheel then get maybe another thin strip of leather and use that in a cris cross to hold the leather ends. It will be a little like the EF/EL XR wheels. I am unsure it will work propely.... Do you think it will work?

Would be loose and unsafe ud need to find out how they get the leather to "stick" to the wheel if u know what i mean, must be more then just the knots..

it'd be easier, and probably look better if you just picked up an xr wheel.
they're fairly common around wreckers. i bought one for $50 bucks off a forum member, though the leather at the top was coming a bit loose. however i had it restiched for about 20 bucks and its looks good as new.
