i got a efII fairmont and recently after a long time without a door trim because of a shagged window reg have put it back on... and now i realise becasue i am a pretty tall bloke that when i go to turn corners the steering wheel fouls on my right leg (...figures) can anyone point me in the direction of a tech doco that explains somethin for the EF or similar i found one for an ED but the cruise setup only has a 2 position switch on the right hand side of the wheel... the ef by the looks of things needs a 3 position switch.... any help would be appreciated... can anyone also recommend a wheel brand to use... cheers

if you look under the column there is a leaver if you pull it towards you it will allow you to adjust the height of the column as well as the rake toward you or away try that. oh and when you adjust it bust the lever back up to lock it into place..

You can chuck on a non electric window trim and just plug up the hole where the winder handle goes I am very tall and I have the same problem in EF/ELs The manual winder trim has a shorter armrest |

Unfortunately as the wheel has an airbag there are not many options outside of the AU Momo Wheel which will accpet the cruise setup anyway.
It is illegal to use a non airbag wheel. BenJ

Q1 Have you done as bunter said ?
Q2 May be wrong, but is xr wheel (pinhole) smaller diameter ? Q3 How come door trim now makes steering wheel foul ?
