Hey guys,
my rear vision mirror decided to fall of the windshield today, just wondering what sort of glue should i use? this might sound stupid but i wasnt sure if super glue is what people generally use for this, cheers

there is a specific glue to do the job.. forget the name, but if you head to repco or similar they will stock it.. just explain what you need it for.

yep araldite will work well,superglue won't though.

Hi, what you need is Loctite adhesive for rear view mirrors. Repco has it. Even Super cheeeeeeep has it in stock. Araldite won`t work .

last time i used the red silicone that is ment for heigh temp areas on or around the motor as i thought that the glass gets hot when in the sun and the silicone was ment for heigh temp things so i used it and it hasent fallen off yet.

Cheers Araldite won't work? WTF??? Dunno what cheap stuff you were using, but araldite is the best! I cracked the glass trying to pull it off an old s**t I had...

I`ll rephrase the last statement. Araldite is not really suitable as it will dry out over time. Believe me if FoMoCo could use it they would.
You`ll be driving down Dandenong Rd. and hit a bloody great bump & sure as s**t you`ll end up wearing the bloody mirror. That is if you were lucky enough not to break it on the T Bar.

i glued on a friends mirror that came off, used some specialised clear rear view mirror adhesive from supercheap. it was a 2 part mix where you break the glass inside a plastic tube to mix A+B and has enough for one repair. that was about 2 years ago, its still there

When mine fell off I went to Windscreen O'Briens to ask and they glued it back on for free.
