you can only enter stop watch mode from one of the modes other than clock!
go into instant, average km/l etc then it will work!

I found out about this a few weeks ago - how easily could Ford/VDO have integrated a Gtech type 1/4 mile function into the trip meter!

I've got a gtech and a spare ford clock module and a soldering iron.

I've already been thinging about this. The biggest hurdle at the moment is the gtech is a LED screen while the clock/trip comp is a LCD screen. They need different signals to work.

I found, you can only get into the stopwatch mode from Instant L/100 and Dist To Empty mode (press holding the reset button). The other modes and the clock mode don't work (you'll just reset the averages and do nothing to the clock).
