I have found a cluster with all the gauges; voltmetre, tacho, oil pressure, fuel, temp and speedo which is the sports cluster? (My GLi one only has the temp, speedo and fuel.)

anywayz i had a look thru the mod guides and still a bit confused.

will this cluster fit str8 in? but i'll need to add a oil pressure switch? and a positive wire for the voltmetre?...to the blanked out holes in the plug?

i know it's been done before! HELP

thanx
-Paul

Hey Mate,

It will bolt on and plug straight in. Everything will work fine, except the oil pressure guage.. it will read 100% until you replace the Oil Pressure Switch (on/off to indicate low oil condition) with an Oil Pressure Sender (variable resistance to indicate pressure).

If my car has no smartlock and this cluster has it will i need to add it? or can it still work without it? or need a cluster that supports no smartlock?

It doesnt matter, either one will do.

The only issue is if you do have smartlock, the light wont flash - big deal.

Clusters are easily worth $100ea, and the senders are $50 new from Ford
