This gives you an idea for the EF/EL front seats anyway.

would the seats from the NF/NL fairlane also fit an EA-ED sedan? I assume the fronts will need new mounts but has anyone done the rear seats?

Yes fordebgt93 has full leather set of EF/El seats in his eb, he said he had to take the leg of the rear of each of the front seats and weld them to the new ones for them to fit, he also had to weld a small plate on the inside front of the front seats rail and re drill the hole so they can be bolted in.

The rear bolted in easy even the bolsters, now im not sure if the NF/NL bolsters and the same as EF/EL ones but if they are they will fit plug and play.

or go get someone to add more cushion to the sides and get the whole ED seats retrimmed and made bulkier

EF/EL seats fit really easily. Some use a longer bolt for the holes adjacent to the tunnel at the rear. I just cut the rear inside mounts off my ED seats and welded them onto the EF 'mont seats. Fits perfect now.
