Dad's got an ex cab EF sitting the the back yard with a column shift and bench seat set-up.

Maybe you could look around in your area for an ex cab with this set-up.

I don't think his interested in wrecking the car out as he doesn't have the time.

Entire car is yours for $200 but you would have to organise to get it to you while would cost a fair bit. I tried to get a non drivable car from SA to QLD and was quoted around $800.

You have to think of other things like power window switches and hand brake ect. The hand brake is changed to a pedal where the clutch would go and the windows are usually manual.

Shoot me some questions i could arrange some photos and help your out by having a look at it.

You can see the hand brake pedal through the steering wheel

Regards.

I have an EB and it doesnt have power windows so switches arent a problem, also since its an EB the hand brake is one of the old school ones that you pull out from the dash, so i dont think i need to do too much. I leave near U Pull It so i can just get the stuff i need from there but i just need to know how to do it and if its easy !

The column shift cars don't have an adjustable steering column, they are fixed, due to the gear change mechanism.

Do you guys think the Eb Shifter would get to would obstruct the Bench seat if i left it floor mounted? I have a feeling that it would aslong as i got rid of the surround and what not !

Do bench seats come in fairmont velor as seen in ED Monts?

The column shift bench seats run straight across so I think it may fowl up on the shifter. If you want a bench seat and keep the floor shift I would look for a bench seat out of a ute as it has a cut out to allow clearance for the shifter. Modification may be needed to install a bench seat from a ute. Also your car is registered to sit 5 people, you might need to take it to regency and have it changed to legally seat 6 people.

Yeah mate have a look at yours then a look at one at you pull and you should be able to work it out from there. I'd imagine you would need:

-seat rails
-seat
-floor carpet(for a tidy job)
-steering column and linkages to trans

It may only work if your current car is a three speed.Might be alot harder if you've got the four speed...

...and it looks like you've got the four speed trans, some modification would be required to the linkages...

We had a da-dc LTD with bench seat and velour come into the wreckers. had the switches in a panel under the dash for the windows.
Honestly though, couldn't f**k believe my eyes when i saw it, like an LTD f**k.
