hey wiring up an aftermarket tacho at the moment and just wondering where the hell is the pink and blue wire for the tacho signal? there is like 2 i have found around the dizzy area 1 has the blue stripe going down the side of the pink wire and the other has the blue stripe crossing sideways on it. and help would be great cheers. P.S the car is CFI

yes it is but only to a mates ea wagon d**k basher. we wanna no how many revs its doing before she blows. dunno wat ill do with it after that. might use it on mine or might sell it. anyway any1 got an answer? daylight is running thin. |

Theres a plug where the self test plug is to the side of the steering shaft in teh engine bay, its own its own and is pink and blue, thats where i hooked my tacho up to.

i thaught that WAS the test plug?? i saw that wire and it was leading to no where. ended up hoookin it to the pink/blue wire near the coil and all is working great. thanks for your help anyways, cheers |

It does sound wat to ricey - but if it's to give it to the car and try blowing it up!! For fun i'm sure you can get away with it!!
