Hey guys you might have covered this already, if you have can somebody post link, if not, any help is appreciated.

Im trying to get the centre console out of my ED fairmont Ghia. The panel i actually want to get off is the one with the gear stick on it as displayed in the pic i am posting (If it works that is).

Maybe somebody could edit the image i have put up to show me where to start...and hopefully finish haha.

Thanks if anyone can help me, i just cant seem to find the right bastard screws anywhere.

if its anything like the EF/EL's, you'll need to unscrew the shifter handle, then the actual surround just pops out using (carefully) a flat-head screwdriver...

looks the same as EA, panel just sits there basically. four legs one on each corner slid into holes in console. First remove 'T Bar' handle by unscrewing, then gently lever up using something flat preferably stiff plastic. The wiring to the Eco-power switch & shift position light are usually short and need to be unplug once plate is lifted up slightly.

Yeah it lifted out after applying a bit of pressure, im guessing it hadnt been taken off in a long while (if at all). It comes out quite easily now though.
