hey guys i have a pioneer headunit (DEH-P5150UB) and i need to hook up a remote wire but theres two vacant holes in the connector for the rear of the head unit (2 holes from the top left and 4 holes from bottom left) :S which one do i put it in? and will it short circuit the head unit if its in the wrong hole??

Usually the remote wire is a blue wire (sometimes with a white tracer) coming off the plug in loom at the back of the head unit, used to enable things like amps & some power antenna's.

Pioneer plugs are all the same, it will be the blue. there are some vacant wires, always have been with the pioneer plugs. Just get the blue and run it to remote on your amp.

the plain blue wire? do i take it out the hole or leave it in and strip the wire back and solder the reote wire to it?

Did you have a look at the pioneer site i linked to for a manual that will tell you how to install it? Cheers ToranaGuy
