(yes even the ones that say leatherette) I know of a few people that have bought these covers expecting leather (including a fellow fordmods member), and have been very disappointed when I told them it wasn't However, having said that. The quality of the ones that I have seen was pretty good and with a bit of careful fitting, would be a good option for a cheap re trim for those on a budget. Just my 2cents. lol listen to the man, he knows what his talking about i dont know what happend to OsbornThomas's mate, the guy actually takes your seats for a few days to measure everything up. i got a full set of seat covers, plus a fair bit of extra material for door trims, parcel shelf and roof lining, he also took my centre console lid and sun visors and retrimmed them all for $1300, its a fair price and the stuff is pretty good. but he tells u its leather when its not, so if anyone speaks to this guy argue the point that his advertising is up the s**t and try and get a disount or something, he is a good guy to deal with, lol the happiest dude i ever met(probably cause his ripping everyone). but yeh its not leather, he also says on his ebay link that it is not vinyle/ leatheret............................ when it is. |

Only just saw this thread.
I've got these and have had them now for about a year with no problems at all. They look the part and are surprisingly more comfortable. Here's pics straight after I fitted them so my interior is dirty as...

they look so flat. They're meant to be flat at first... They stretch to a perfect fit after about a month. If they were perfectly fitted as soon as you put them on then the heat and people sitting on them would cause them to go saggy.

I don't really see what you're saying EFF... They fit like a dream now.
They were just way too tight then.

As a qualified Motor Trimmer, who has been in the trade for 16 years, In my opinion there is no real diffrerence between vinyl and leatherette. They are both man made products designed to replicate leather. Generally speaking, a "leatherette" will be a softer, more supple form of vinyl, but still a vinyl none the less.
