IMO putting a high series cluster in is one of the best mods you can do if your car hasn't already got one. I use both Oil and Volts all the time.

that i did. although the oil guage has now been replaced by a boost guage because my cars turboed now.. no holes in dash either, i mad up a bracket that bolts to the section under the front speaker dash bit that lifts up... you know the bit i mean, bottom of windscreen.. i like them there as seen from front of car..

i got the dash with the battery an oil gauge but the oil gauge stopped working 2 months aprox ago, got no idea....getting auto elecs to have a look on friday and see what happens...if i cant fix it ill probly end up getting a new one for it...jsut thought it would be cheaper to get the lil guages and mount them but if you say you can get a cluster for 50 bucks then yeh that changes things abit

Just FYI, the father-in-law has them on his EL Wagon's Steering column... VDO gauges in the little cups. Not my favourite, but he finds them convenient there.

Probably not the best idea if running it into the cabin. If the lines are damaged or perish then it could make a mess of your interior. Don't laugh this has happend to my old man, the lines that came with the gauge perished and bam, black carpet Ben ha ha obviously it wasnt installed properly because i had my one for 2 years with a nylon line and it didnt perish or become brittle, the only thing i can think of if that it was installed next to a heat source or something
