Sounds as though you may not have any vacumn at the HVAC distribution block behind the glove box.
I would see if you have any vacumn there, and then chase it back from there...... It shouldn't be that hard to work out...... Good luck!!

Sometimes I get this, the knob will turn to the face position but air will only come out from the demister. Also I have no hot air even if the dial is turned to hot.
