Whilst installing my low wiper fluid sensor, I had to re insert my trip computer data wire into pin 14 on the cluster. When setting the date and time today something weird happened. The date started of at 860 instead of 1990. Then it went to 1000, 1100, 1200, 1300 etc til I got it to 005 (2005) which is what I set it too last time. But its saying that today is Sunday May 5th. Wrong day. How do I fix it, its never happened before?

did you short it out ... unplug it all and reseat everything, maybe it needs a reset. it should go 1990, 1991, 1992 etc.. not 1100 1200 1300 lol

Yeah I know.

How do I do that? Its not keeping time either, 10 mins slower then normal after setting it perfectly. Also thinking about L/100km is at 25 should be lower even after reset (done a little driving since).

If I unplug the battery it resets everything? Could it jsut be a wiring issue?

are you sure you have it in the right pin on the cluster plug, sounds as though it is giving false readings from incorrect data

well i wouldn't put it past dylan

hehe - i'd disconnect the battery for a while mate - see if that fixes it. if not, then check the wires - you've had issues with them coming out, so perhaps it isn't where it should be!

Unplug the trip computer itself and let it reset its self. It has power to it even when ign is off. Better than disconnecting the battery, then the ECU has to learn again.
Hope this helps.
