My trip computer on my ef faimont stopped working, the clock part still lights up like normal, but once you push the button to see how many k's off petrol you have left the clock just lights in small letters at the bottom of the screen.
Anyone got any suggestions what it could be?

When you switch on the ignition, does the clock Illuminate ?
Also when you press the SEARCH button, when the ignition is on, does it cycle through all the modes ?
If the above are happening, then either the data line going to the trippy is stuffed, or the trippy may be getting stuffed (Unlikely, as it takes a lot to blow a trip computer up).

Or is it that the LCD part is Dim (Blown Bulb)
Or is it that certain LCD Elements are beginning to fade (I.E. the day, and date at the bottom of the screen are fading and hardly visable ???)
