Hi, I have just tried to install a trip computer into my EL XR6 using the instuctions I found on this sight, Upon Finishing this I have plugged everything back in and the moment of truth, Hit the key and NOTHING. Thought I must have got some wires wrong somewhere so went back over them but all seem to be in order. After doing this I noticed that not only doesnt my trip meter work but neither does my Cluster. Taco, Odo, Fuel, Oil Pres, Nothing. The ABS light etc still works when turn key but that is it. Please Help Me!!!

How have you attached the Trip Comp data line to the right hand loom, you may have disconnected something in doing it. I finished mine today and all went well so it is all fresh in my head.

Disconnect the wires see if it now works then start again, you might have not got the data line right. Connecting this to the wrong place could stop the cluster from working.

Hi, Thanks for the reply I'll try to disconnect the wire to the dash cluster and see if that brings back the cluster. I have connected it by putting in a pin from another loom I pulled apart. I'll See how I go and get back to yous Thanks Again.

Hi, Just letting you know that everything is in order, I unplugged the wire from my cluster and had a bit of a play around with clip, Plugged and unplugged it a couple of times and it All works fine now. Not sure of the problem but main thing is that its all doing what it should. Cheers for the instructions too, There great and easy to follow. P.S. Love the sight, keep up the good work.

Might have been an interference in the line...As long as it works now.

Yeh, a bit. It was a bit different cause I didn't have the whole kit. But using those in conjuction with the doco from this sight made it all pretty easy to work out. Cheers again
