as title says i have wired up a trip computer in to my ea fairmont. the trip computer lights up and displays time but wont let you set the time so none of the othe functions are avalible until i hve set the clock. has any one had this problem before? .

i used the technical information off of this site to wire it up. could the trip computer be stuffed? also when you push the buttons it beeps and if the car is running and you have lights turned on and switch the car off it beeps until you turn the lights off.

any help would be appreaciated. thanks

I would double check that you have the correct wiring.
Make sure the wires on pins 3 and 11 are correct. pin 3 should have 12v on it at all times and pin 11 only when ign on.
Just go through each connection and make sure it goes where it is supposed too, very easy to make a mistake.
If all else fails, see if you can borrow another trip computer and see if that works.
