umm i dont know?
thats how mine is hooked up and works fine..its been 2 years since i did it i got to remember now...

all the wires on the door loom to the switch loom were the same colour except the grey went to the purple with grey ring/stripe

and the wire to the drivers mirror plug is purple grey stripe goes to green, blue grey stripe goes to white and red grey stripe goes to red, the black was left out..

and the pasenger side mirror loom was the same as the mirror plug on the drivers side..

When I did mine I got the switch and worked out what all the pins were... and each mirror has a common red wire... (run back to switch to same pin) a purple wire does either vertical or horrizontal (can't remember) and a blue that does the opposite direction... the switch just then needs the power and ground to it...
