hey all, tried to change my power window regulators today and i got the door trim off apart from the door lock button. its the crap square style. i have tried pliers, screwdriver, pulling the trim up to pull it off (worked on my old trims) and i just cant get it off. if there a trick or secret to this? i really need them off. car was suposed to get RWC this weekend. looking slim now

youll probably end up breaking the plastic rod theyre attached to if you pull hard enough

try lowering the door trim until you can see the bottom of the plastic door lock button. Try to twist it first and then use pliers to hold the creamy/white plastic bit (it goes in the inside of the button as well) and then pull the outer shell of the button. the outer cover should slide out a bit releasing a bit of pressure on the white plastic inside thing which is what holds it down...if that doesn't work...get a new plastic rod and button

When all else fails, just use brute force, and fix whatever you break!

meh if you do they are easy enough to replace ... maybe someone did glue it on. All is required is pliers and some cloth to protect it - then yank straight up. If it is f**k you can cut off the plastic rod from underneath and pull it out then just find some replacement parts!!
