Can the central locking on an NL Fairlane be configured so that when you unlock the car, the first push of the remote only the driver's door unlocks and a second push unlocks all the other doors, but still locks all the doors?

y would you want it any way? i had my au like that then i changed it to unlock both all doors at once. your battery will last you half as long as it normally would(if you always use it to open all the doors).

Does the AU remote have a lock and unlock button, or does it cycle off one button like the E's?
I can design a circuit to do it with the BEM, but it would behave a bit differently due to the fact theres only one button. Say you press once to unlock the drivers door. you wait a few minutes, then press the button again. Should the car lock all doors, or unlock the remaining doors? This is the problem. A circuit could be made that waits a time that equals two button press opportunities before doing anything with the locks. If all doors are locked, you could press the button twice quickly, and all would unlock. But if you press only once, then wait, the next press would need to be lock all. The "quick presses" wouldn't be quick tho. It would be the same time you would have to wait to unlock the doors, then relock them - not very efficient. If you get an aftermarket remote, you should be able to just cut the black wire on each of the front locks. This should electrically separate them and stop them from trying to sync. From there, how would you want the above logic to work off a single button? (i'm trying to figure out a way)

AU1's have the same remote as E series. AU2/3 and BA/BF have unlock, lock, boot and panic alarm. Why would you want this feature though? I disabled it on my AUII, and BA's don't come with it unless you program it to.

apparently its like a safety feature.
if you think someone is after you, you can unlock the door and get in without fear of them being able to get in the other doors
