Hey guys

Im just wondering, Can I hook up those 20 cm long lights that you put under the dash near your feet, to an on and off switch hooked to the dash?

I have 3 lights, and I hooked up 3 switches, each switch lights up etc, but I cant get the underdash lights to light up at all?

why is this?

the underdash lights originally were attached to a ciggarette port.

well what kind of light r u talking about? do u mean 20cm neons???

Its pretty easy really just do the following:
1. Run positive wire to switch
2. run positive wire from switch to positive battery terminal
3. run ground wire to the cars chassis

Any questions?

cava got it in one hit.

If the lights aren't working, check the fuse (clever people use them), check that they are wired in properly and then using a test lamp check thta the switch is passing on the + charge when switched on. nothing else goes wrong unless you break the neon itself. I'll take a pic of mine tonight.

It can do, some of the smaller / thiner neons have there transformer within the Cig. Plug, in which case you simply run to Pos & Neg terminal on that, while others, the much thicker neons have them on the end of the light and the Cig Plug is empty. Easy way to tell, take the cig lighter plug apart and if its simply two wires & a fuse, it can be chopped off, but if its a little transformer than you need to keep it.

Hope that helps, sound like that cuold be the problem.
