Hey all, just after some info. I've managed to get my hands on a green ED Fairmont BEM for free and thought about being able to fit it to my ED GLi, and whether it was possible or not. I had a quick check underneath dash only to discover the plug is oh so slightly different.
Is it just a matter of changing over the plug or can the red BEM be modded.
For example, can you make the interior lights come on when car unlocks with smartlock, fade out for interior lights, and power antenna control?
Also, I have an aerial from the same Fairmont, and a plug exists behind dash for height switch, but cant seem to find plug that goes into aerial near wheel arch.

look in the tech documents. Its all in there iirc

for starters, that red box you were looking at is the smartlock module!!! NOT THE BEM

yours would be a blue (IIRC) BEM located inbetween the radio and handbrake
