Hi everyone...
just wondering if one of these....

.... will fit onto the roof of my EF GLi??
Do I need to make any modifications to wiring etc??

Any help would be much appreciated.

ive just done mine, the 2 extra screw points are already in the roof, so you just have to cut the roof lining to suit. (standard dome has 2 fixing points, festoon has 4)

Then discard the existing dome light loom and add in your new one, run it through the roof and down to the rear pillar on the drivers side, theres a connecting plug under the plastic conver, unplug the old loom, and plug the new loom in. Easy as that.

With mine the new dome light loom plug didnt fit the body loom so i chopped off the plug from the existing dome light loom and joined it to the new.

I thought I would have to run some extra power but seems not!

same thing, but without the front map lights. poor povo pack owners like us got it. Weight reduction thing, makes us faster :oops:

not sure if this is any help, but on my eb the +12v has constant power, and the earth is switched via the doors/light switch on dash, the festoons get ground via the screws into the roof from memory so you shouldnt need to re run a loom, but ef could be different

A mate of mine put the Fairlane/Territory dome light into his EL, 98% sure he just fixed th wirin up, didnt run looms.
