hi guys, I plan on upgrading my el gli with intermitant wiper and electric windows. I am getting a el futura computer from ebay and was wondering if the wiring needs changing for the wiper. Also would it be easier to get a power window loom for the buttons or wire the windows some other way?

Just out of curiosity are you planning to go front only or all 4 power windows? not sure how much it matters, although your aware futuras only ever came with front electric windows.
I'm personally a fan of changing looms properly where possible, I have some spare door looms out of my fairmont if your interested as i put in fairlane one. I left m body loom and just added extra pins to the plug to run wires from, but i was adding door sensors and courtesy lights so bit of a different job.

Just the front windows, never in the back, also have the switches just for the front. Do the looms come in segments and join with plugs or do they run front all the way to the back?

The floor loom is a one hole loom the runs under the carpets, Door looms plug into the floor loom.

u wont need the el computer, unless u are thinking its the body electric module (bem / bcm) that controls the electric windows
the floor looms start at the side repeaters , plug in up under the dash on drivers side and continue into the boot to tail lights, fuel pump etc etc. will take a few hours to change over. ive done it to my el futura and put el fairmont floor loom in and rear electric windows. also recently converted brother inlaws ed gli to fairmont power windows too |
