Saw that Uglybobs car for sale had one - didn't even know they existed, did a quick search and couldn't find much about them. Are they velour lined inside the glovebox or on the outside? What models had them (Fairlanes, Fairmonts and LTD)?

not sure what spec got them, but so far i've seen NF lane, and EF ghia.
not sure what has it below that.
there is also the velour in the radio surround pocket below the single din radios.

Well the dash pocket under the radio doesn't worry me as I've hacked at mine to remove it to turn it into a double din!
But I want a velour glovebox now!

Instead of forking out $$ to buy one complete why not do your own. the hardware sells veloure contact for a fraction of the price.
Its not really a weight saving but a cost saving.

The velour in the compartment under the radio's pretty handy. Stops every single thing you put in there from sliding out at the slightest application of brakes.

I don't have it (yee, GLi), but I shoved a bit of that non-slip rubber matting stuff in there and it works a treat. No more crap flying around the car, now.

your probly better off lineing your own with some thing thicker like carpet, after a while and when you got things moving around in your glovebox the velour starts to rub off.

yeah, the hazzards of working the despatch department and unpacking all the fabric, you start liking some of the stuff you get in...

become a VIP club member - dont laugh, u get 10% on most things ;)
(tho as staff, we got 15% and fabric at cost +10% + 10%...)
