Hi guys and girls
I'm going to put curtains into the back of my wagon. Just wanted to know if anyone else has done anything like this. Perhaps ppl have suggestions or ideas? Can anyone think of anything I need to know before I start drilling holes into the back of my wagon to install rails to hang the things off? |

lol no... but velcro always ends up coming off once it's gets a little warm.. escpecially when it's stuck to material and not a hard smooth surface.

Don't want to put you off what you want to do, but maybe you should look at tinting if your car doesn't have it - you can then also put those black screen sunshades on the inside of the windows - this way it will give you some privacy, and still retain your vision through those windows whilst driving - summer heat will also be cut down. Also no drilling, etc is needed either. Just a suggestion . . . .

but wouldn't that make people curious as to what you are hidnig back there, might attract the wrong sorts of people any who ever herd of those hooks you can get thatdon't leave marks on your walls and all you have to do is pull the tabt gt them off once you dont want them any more, mabe give them a go?

I'd think curtains would create blindspots whilst driving.

With the side windows on a wagon at the rear you can go as dark as you want or even just black them out

Just an idea... this is what I do when I am sleeping in my wagon.
I have heaps of those "Falcon #1" signs, and put them up against the side windows in the back -I have them cut out to fit the windows. The bottom slides into the base of the window, and I have a tab at the top that bend in, and I tape it to the plastic. That works better than fabrics, as a lot of the time, the fabric caught on something, and came down. The rear window - I have a ford flag there. I got the velcro dots from woolies, and stick the flag up when I need it, or throw it in the little storage compartment when its not in use. Maybe you could use black cardboard for the sides??

Department of transport told me that tinting I can't go darker than 35%... but I can black them out completely using anything else. Makes no sense to me.. I've re-enquired about why that is.. Because I have 95% tinting ready to be applied..
If they say no, cardboard might be the go... I'll just paint it black or something. |
