Hey guys,
I have been looking for a while and before you yell out "RICE!", I have recently (on separate occasions) burst two radiator hoses, so I'm really interested in finding a water pressure gauge, does anyone know where I can get one? Hope this is in the right forum, I was going to post in 6 Cylinder Workshop but I figured the gauge would be inside lol. Cheers, Michael EDIT: Also, I see that you can get mechanical or electrical gauges, which would give better accuracy? I'm also interested in getting a water temperature gauge - should I get electrical or mechanical? I assume electrical would be easier to wire up, thoughts? |

i would go eletrical for both as then u will not have water coming into the cabin...
the temp guage is easy as most autoshops will sell them as for the pressure guage u got me stumped i would be looking at why the hose has burst ie do u have the right rad cap on before a guage gets fited

there prices are cheap and they've got a big range. personally i use autometer gauges... and definately go electrical! o, and i waxsn't aware that they/anyone made water pressure gauges? there shouldn't be a need as when it builds up to a certain pressure your radiator cap should be pushed up and allow that excess pressure to vent out. have you tried replacing your radiator cap? |

mechanical would be more acurate but you have the risk of water in the cabin. electrical would be a hell of a lot easier to do yourself

I think it's also illegal in most if not all of the states. |

Thanks for the replies guys, and nah the only reason I would be after one is to watch out for future breaks in the hoses. They were different hoses when they broke and that was only because they had probably been on since the car was made lol.
