Hey Everyone...
As you may know, i have an EF Fairmont.
At the moment when ever you turn a corner i can hear water flowing thru the interior, and today it leaked onto my foot...and it was cold :(.
It is coming from the passenger side of the car, and i think it has somthing to do with the air conditioning.
Where is the moisture out of the air supposed to go when you have the airconditioning running, and how does it get there...
also does anyone know how to fix this problem?
Cheers,

Mitch

There's a drain tube that runs from the bottom of the evaporator out through the firewall and onto the ground. This tube can often get blocked.

You will find the tube under the car, low in the firewall near the starter motor.
You need to poke a stiff wire up the tube to unblock it, be careful though I have heard of people damaging the evaporator, be best to fold over the end of the wire first.

Thats what I would use, or stiff fencing wire. Just remember to fold the end over so it isn't sharp.

You should be able to find it, on the passenger side of the firewall, down low, from under the car.

Try below and to the right of the heater hoses when you are looking into the engine bay.

It may not look like a pipe, as it may still have the firewall soundproofing covering it, in which case it will appear to be a rectangular piece of the soundproofing, about an inch sqaure and stick out by about 1.5 to 2 inches.

Good luck.

Had the same problem on mine. Check to see if the soundproofing on the p/s side is wet after driving the car (but not in the rain lol). If so, you will probably find that the s/p is covering the hole. Just cut some of it away, and watch the water run out.
