what paint is everyone using to spray their dash's. i want to spray mine but dont know what piant to use or how to get a decent result as this is the first time i have done this. any help would be awesome.

the parts around the buttons air vents, around the guages. pretty much what everone else is doing

is there any certain way of doing it? can i do it without tacking the dash off? and will i need a clear coat

i'd pull it off, its not that hard.
i used $3 paint from bunnings, matt black. came up fantastic. I simply cleaned everything properly, gave it 2 coats and let it dry. reinstalled and its been fine, no clear coat.

For hard plastics like surrounds: Clean the parts very well with warm soapy water, rinse and dry, then apply a couple of thin coats of plastic primer. The finishing paint is up to you but the Holts Dupli-Color range of spray cans (which includes Plastic Trim Primer) can be found at most auto stores and will do the job well. If you wish you can overcoat with clear.
My opinion only, but gloss finishes on parts that shouldn't be shiny looks tacky. So if you can, go for a satin finish.

i thought u could use any paint? well i know vinyl spray can on vinyl but plastic anything im guessing....im going the black look and probably black/redish (to go with the car). if only my car was white or black id go for the black/white look.

profesionally mixed 2-pack in body colour. Same as I use in my engine bay. Beautiful stuff.
